On Sunday at the Florida AFL-CIO 2018 COPE Convention in Orlando, Democrat Brandon Peters was endorsed by the Florida AFL-CIO for both the primary and general election in Florida’s 2nd Congressional District.
Peters, an attorney and mediator who resides in Levy County, is proud to accept the endorsement of the Florida AFL-CIO and its more than 900,000 union members across the State of Florida. The only candidate in this race to receive this full and early endorsement, Peters recognizes the significance. Upon the announcement of the endorsement, Brandon had the following statement:
“From the first day of my campaign, I’ve set out to run on values and priorities that Florida’s Labor movement can proudly get behind. This weekend’s endorsement is a clear signal to members of the Labor movement, and all friends of Labor, that our campaign is the one that can defeat Neal Dunn and restore strong Democratic leadership to the 2nd Congressional District.
I’m thrilled to continue to work with those in the Labor movement to share my message of good jobs, economic growth, higher wages, secure retirement, and better healthcare throughout North and North Central Florida.”
The Peters campaign continues to ramp up its field, fundraising, and outreach efforts in advance of the August Democratic primary and invites all interested parties to visit Peters4Congress.com to learn more about Brandon and his Labor-backed campaign, including how to get involved in its grassroots efforts.
